Why do I need to pay a subscription?
The subscription simply covers our expenses for speech recognition. We want to provide you with the highest quality, most accurate captions. Cloud services like Google ($0.96/hour) and Amazon ($1.44/hour) charge us per hour of speech recognition, but thanks to our discounts, we can offer unlimited captions for just $20/month. Free on-device captions are only 85-88% accurate in quiet settings and worse in noise, while cloud-based recognition is far superior.
Do I need a phone to use TranscribeGlass? What phones are compatible?
Yes, you need an iPhone to use TranscribeGlass. Android is not currently supported. We will release an Android app soon.
Are prescription lenses supported?
Yes, prescription lenses are supported and are sold separately, starting at $158 for single vision lenses. Enter your prescription details on our order page to see whether your prescription is supported and the price.
When will I receive my device?
Our current expected delivery time is 5 weeks.

Do I need internet to use TranscribeGlass?

What's the return policy?

Do the glasses have a microphone?
No, TranscribeGlass uses your phone's microphone. However, it can also work with an external microphone if connected to your phone.
What languages are supported? Can the glasses translate?
English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, German, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese. You can also translate these languages live to most other languages.
